We are a church seeking to honor God by praising Him, caring for and teaching one another and sharing our faith with all.

Welcome

Welcome:

First of all, thank you for taking time to research East Wenatchee First Baptist Church.  It is important to acknowledge, out of the gates, that this church is not perfect, but our commitment is to be pressing to continually grow and improve who we are, what we believe, and what we do.

As the pastor of the church, I intentionally prioritize focusing our attention on Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith.  We are His church, bought with His life’s blood, and are to be presented to Him as His holy bride.  To be called a Christian is to acknowledge that we are Christ followers above all other things in life, and so we must follow Him well.  We want to enjoy a relationship with our Savior that is blessed and full of joy, peace, and contentment, and this means that we must work on it.  We believe that studying, meditating upon, and living out the teachings of God’s Word is the primary means of relationship development with our Savior.  We also believe that honest and sincere prayer is a close secondary means of growing the relationship.

I am an expository preacher by conviction.  It is my very firm belief that the pulpit is God’s turf, and He must speak, and we must listen.  A sermon is only as good as its dedication to preserving God’s intended meaning of the text.

Furthermore, it is important to know that we are people of grace who condemn legalism as the standards of some imposed upon others.  We believe that children of God live in the light of His grace, liberated to do right and good as well as to enjoy His many gifts and pleasures.  To love the Lord, and live for Him, God’s people naturally separate themselves from iniquity, and strive for holiness, not by compulsion of regulations.  It is a marvelous life as a Christian, and we relish in its blessings.

Come and visit us.  We are always glad to fellowship with God’s people.  And if you are not a Christ follower, but are looking for a church to visit, come.  We would love the opportunity to meet you, introduce you to our Savior, and grow to know you better.  We’ll keep an eye out for you.

About Us

We are a church seeking to honor God by praising Him, caring for and teaching one another and sharing our faith with all.

Our Vision:

To make disciples of Jesus Christ through personal evangelism, biblical baptism, and devotional indoctrination.  We have made commitments in the following four areas:

Praising

Our God is worthy of our highest praise, and we purposefully prioritize public worship to collectively praise Him every Sunday.  We also recognize that a healthy relationship with Christ is reflected in personal praises of our God on individual basis’s.

Caring

Learning love from our God and Savior, we find it natural to love Him back, and love humanity.  We care enough for the unregenerate to encourage them toward Christ in clear evangelism, and we care enough for the regenerate to provoke them to a closer relationship with Christ.

Teaching

To enrich any relationship, one must know the other person and grow in that knowledge.  Our teaching is Bible based, and centers on the desire to help humanity know more about our God so that they may develop a right and growing relationship with Him.

Sharing

For the help of humanity, it is important to be a people of compassion, stewarding our finances, materials, understandings, and gifts in such a way as to bless those that are around us in various ways, and through various means.
