Adult Sunday School
The Lord’s Prayer

In the midst of His most famous sermon, Jesus instructs His disciples not to be hypocrites in the way that they offer their prayers up to God. Instead, He offers another model of prayer: that which is commonly known as ‘The Lord’s Prayer.’

Over the course of three Sundays, we will investigate into this prayer of Jesus. First, we will look into the background of prayer and how it fits into the context of Jesus’ profound teachings. Second, we will examine the prayer line by line, word by word, in order that we may richly feed our hearts with the petitions that Jesus makes to the Father. And, finally, we will examine how the Lord’s Prayer has been received and utilized in corporate worship throughout the history of the Christian Church, showing that believers from every generation have expressed their worship to God through this inspired prayer.

Join us as we see how the Lord’s Prayer speaks to our condition as people before God, how it applies to our own prayer lives, and how it integrates into the greater corporate worship of the Body of Christ!

Apologetics – Defending the Existence of God

How can I know that God exists? Is the Bible reliable? Was Jesus really Who He said He was? Is the Christian faith nothing but a blind faith, or is it actually the most reasonable thing to believe?

Join us as we look into the realm of apologetics (the intellectual defense of the Truth of the Christian faith). After all, the Apostle Peter does command us to “be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear” (1 Pet. 3:15). Join us as we learn from cold-case detective J. Warner Wallace concerning the existence of God and the reliability of the Christian worldview. If you want to be able to defend why you believe what you believe, you won’t want to miss out on this enriching study!
